Heel Pain
“I have been training for a Kilimanjaro climb since the fall of 2009 and have also been suffering with plantar fasciitis in both feet. The fasciitis would get better and then get worse again. I was seeing a podiatrist and had received steroid injections. The injections relieved the pain for a couple of weeks. Then with only 2-3 weeks before my climb, the pain came back worse than ever. I went to the Ideal Feet store in Little Rock in a panic for help. I did an accelerated boot camp and was able to wear my maintenance supports in my hiking boots for the entire climb. I made it to the top of Kilimanjaro and amazingly I DID NOT HAVE HEEL PAIN!! I am so thankful for help for my feet. It made a once of a lifetime trip possible and made reaching the summit achievable.
